Cedor was born March 8, 1925 in
Anse-a-Veau and was educated at the Collere Beaubrun Ardouin. He joined the
Art Center in 1947 and the following year served on its administrative
committee, both as a teacher and member of the board of directors. In 1950 he
was one of the founding members of the Foyer des Arts
Plastiques. Cedor's work has been extensively exhibited
and collected at home and abroad. It was exhibited in Miami in 1969 and from
1971 has been shown in the United States, Venezuela, Colombia and Panama. He
executed a mural for the International Airport of Port-au-Prince in 1967 that
still greets visitors today. There is a permanent display of his work at the
Museum of Haitian Art at St.Pierre's College in Haiti. Cedor is a
professor at the Art School of the University of Haiti. Information on him can

is considered one of the greatest living Haitian
artists.
