From childhood, when he used flower petals for color,
Michel has had an unquenchable desire to paint. In a recent interview in
Haiti, he commented, "Painting, for me, is like a madness." His paintings
are lyrical presentations of the Haitian countryside. Their romantic
quality is reminiscent of the French impressionistic style, abeit with the intensity of tropical light.
His work has grown steadily in popularity, both with collectors and first
time buyers.
