| The Haitian Art Company was founded in Key West, FL, in 1978 by the father-daughter team of Boris and Ruth Kravitz. Boris continues to purchase all of our paintings, sculptures, papier mache, metals, and spirit flags directly from the artists in Haiti. The Haitian Art Company has
maintained close ties with many of Haiti's best-known artists, and has
been instrumental in supporting emerging talent.![]() |
Several times a year, the company receives hundreds of new artworks at 600 Frances Street, maintaining a collection of some 4,000 original works of art. They have introduced a monthly series of shows which offer a focussed look at important works from the collection. Recent shows have featured painter Carlo Jean-Jacques, metal artist
Gabriel Bien-Aime, and the unique art-form of Drapo Vodou. | |
| The gallery is open every day from 10am-6pm. The staff -Boris, and Marie-Coine- are very knowledgable about Haitian Art and happy to share their information about Haiti's history, artists, customs, and language. | ![]() |
