The Saint-Soliel artists originally banded together as part of an idealistic artists' co-operative at Soissons la Montange in the early seventies. These highly spiritual artists developed a distinctive style that incorporates intricate patterns with saturated color. Although the group disbanded in 1978, the individual artists continued to pursue the work begun on the mountain. Today these works are valuable collectors pieces.
